About Vernon

Vernon Jones grew up on a small farm in North Carolina, where his late mother taught him to work hard, trust God, and always stand up for what’s right. Those lessons shaped a lifetime of service to Georgia.

As DeKalb County CEO, Vernon managed a $3.2 billion budget and 7,000 employees, balancing the books while improving roads, parks, and libraries. In the Georgia House of Representatives, he earned an “A” from the NRA, championed voter ID, and fought to rein in government overreach.

When his former party abandoned Georgia’s values, Vernon didn’t back down — he joined the Republican Party and stood shoulder to shoulder with President Trump, becoming one of his strongest allies nationwide.

Today, Vernon is fighting for Georgia’s future: defending families, protecting communities, and keeping Georgia the best state in America to live, work, and do business. And soon, you’ll hear more about his next mission to serve you.
